The Research Project Manager participates in helping to oversee and coordinate study implementation that involves interacting with patients, providers, and system administrators, contributes to qualitative and quantitative data collection and database development/management, analysis, reporting results/publishing manuscripts, supervises research assistant(s) and oversees logistical tasks (e.g. Human Subjects approval) necessary to accomplish the aims and needs of grant funded research. Additionally, there are opportunities to analyze data and contribute to manuscript writing.
Oversee achievement of grant milestones, assign team member action items, coordinate team activities, and lead and create agendas for meetings â€" 10%.
Prepare documents related to research activities, including study protocols and IRB submissions â€" 5%
Assist in the recruitment of study participants and administration of surveys/other study instruments; supervise research staff performing recruitment and data collection â€" 10%
Collect and record study data and develop study database/tracking. Maintain databases, source documents (surveys, consent, interest forms) and other study-related files; supervise staff performing data entry and management â€" 30%
Perform data analysis, interpretation, and reporting of results (manuscripts, presentations, posters) â€" 25%
Assist with literature reviews, background research, and writing of grants and manuscripts, conference abstracts and other submissions â€" 15%
Perform other related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested â€" 5%
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience and three years of related experience.
Qualitive research skills as well as quantitative research skills including proficiency in a statistical software such as SAS or R are preferred
The successful candidate must possess a high level of initiative, clear communication skills, leadership experience, and a high degree of organization and ability to multi-task. Ability to take initiative, anticipate obstacles and pro-actively and creatively problem-solve; interpersonal skills and flexibility in dealing with a range of working styles and competing demands.
A masterâ€™s degree is strongly preferred
Three years related experience coordinating project activities and capacity to achieve results with guidance from principal investigator are preferred
Spanish language proficiency is preferred
