Manages institutional and operational research projectsâ™ portfolio that relate to primary and secondary data collection internally and externally.
Informs different departmentsâ™ work through research, partners with senior leadership and the Deans.Â Â
Develops strategic recommendations to inform faculty hiring, promotion and tenure projects. Continuously works with faculty members to help inform hiring decision-making.Â
Manages ongoing strategy and oversight of Chicago Boothâ™s participations in rankings, including understanding multiple publicationsâ™ ranking methodology, ensuring the schoolâ™s compliance through data validation, analyzing ranking results and maintaining reporting dashboards.
Manages and leads internal and external institutional reporting needs and audit requirements.Â Â Â
Translates research results to digestible dashboards, outputs and tracking studies, as relevant. Translates data to storytelling and meaningful output that allow decision-making.
Leads Boothâ™s event impact measurement infrastructure and output creation processes and assets.
Continuously implements efficient processes and creates long-lasting outputs for school-wide consumption.
Makes sure that timelines are closely followed and met on a consistent basis.
Has a deep understanding of methods to analyze complex data sets for the purpose of extracting and purposefully using applicable information. May develop and maintain infrastructure that connects data sets.
Guides staff or faculty members in defining the project and applies principals of data science in manipulation, statistical applications, programming, analysis and modeling.
Performs other related work as needed.
At least four years of relevant work experience.
Strong proficiency with data cleaning, manipulation, reporting, analysis.
Proficiency with Tableau software or other visualization tools.
Proven ability to create and deliver cohesive presentations.
Strong communication skills and ability to formulate research methodology, interpret data and generate actionable insights.
Working knowledge of statistical software and statistical methods.
Identify efficiencies in research processes and implement solutions to improve processes.
Excellent project management skills - proven ability to respond to and prioritize multiple, simultaneous project requests with stringent deadlines .
Knowledge of top tier higher education market/institutions and higher education rankings.
