We are looking for a dynamic and proven Corporate Quality Manager who will drive quality; including ISO 9001, Supplier Quality, CAPA, Environmental Sustainability, and Continual Improvement. This person is tasked with identifying opportunities across the business, driving change and developing strategic plans to assist with achievement of Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Sustainability Targets.
The Corporate Quality Manager is responsible to drive KJLC’s quality management system globally; emphasis on leadership, continuous improvement skills, culture building and training which will lead to a self-sustaining QMS. They are responsible for working with leadership to establish the strategic direction of quality to meet the business needs and customer demands.
Key Job Elements:
Instill a culture of quality and continual improvement; establish and communicate the vision.
Directly manage, train, and lead the Global Quality team (QA & QC)
Personally identify, own, and lead challenging continual improvement projects.
Ensure compliance to ISO 9001 and obtain other certifications as business requires.
Establish tools and methodologies for addressing production/customer/quality issues. Drive the company-wide knowledge and use of advanced quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, 8D's, SPC, etc).
Build out a system to meet production customer requirements; including inspection, traceability, document management (CoC, CoA), training, reporting, and supplier control.
Communicate with customers regarding non-conformance issues; ensure proper resolution to non-conformance issues is achieved. When required, take the leadership role to drive CAPA to completion.
Enhance and streamline quality programs and processes. Ensure documentation is clearly understood and followed.
Develop and implement quality strategies for supplier performance. Partner with supply chain and product management to ensure suppliers are effectively qualified and managed.
Manage the audit programs; including planning and leading supplier and internal audits.
Be a catalyst for Environmental Sustainability across the organization.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
10+ years of experience managing QA/QC programs in manufacturing environments.
Experience with quality management systems like ISO9001, AS9100, or IATF16949
Experience with Production customers (Semi/Medical/Aerospace); Copy Exact preferred.
Experience with Custom and or Low Volume/High Mix production preferred.
Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma experience; Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
Quality Manager Certification or other advanced quality certification preferred.
Eligible to work on ITAR and ability to cross international borders. (Passport required)
In-depth knowledge of inspection, preferred use of CMMs and leak detectors
