Position Description As a Communications Specialist serving the Customer Distribution Experience function within Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services (PSaS), you will be responsible for executing communications for McKesson's largest business unit. You will ensure all internal and external customers are proactively informed of potential disruptions to supply chain and delivery. This position will connect with all customer segments and product categories within PSaS to ensure internal and external communications are consistent and disseminated timely.
This role is responsible for developing informative communications during normal business operations and crisis events. During crisis events, working outside of normal business days and hours is required. Previous experience with crisis communications, supply chain, distribution or healthcare communication is preferred.
Develop a communication strategy to ensure all key stakeholders are included in communications.
Build relationships with all internal teams to understand their communication needs.
Routinely communicate to internal and external customers the status of distribution related initiatives - holiday schedule, new DC builds, courier changes, process changes, compliance requirements and other events.
Lead all crisis communications related to distribution and supply chain, to include but not limited to weather, labor, pandemic, technology impacts.
Monitor weather and other disruptive events and develop communications for proactive customer messaging.
Develop external customer facing collateral (emails, letters, power points) and internal messages (emails, customer portal, power point) that can be easily updated and repurposed for various events. Lead change management communications for special projects.
Minimum Requirements: Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
Excellent communications skills, written and verbal.
Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, constantly striving for excellence.
Ability to forge relationships, problem solve and negotiate solutions among competing interests. Excellent management skills: ability to influence and engage a diverse group of stakeholders
Strong project management skills.
Advanced user of Microsoft suite of tools.
Distribution, supply chain industry or healthcare industry experience preferred.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at one time.
Business maturity, with the ability to maintain composure in difficult & stressful situations.
Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Four-year degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.
Working Conditions Position requires availability after hours and weekends during crisis events.
