Responsibilities The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Specialist will have prior experience maintaining compliance documentation, independently executing program processes, leading employee engagement or resource groups, and coordinating DEI activities and events. The ideal candidate will also have experience in executing program procedures including performing quality control and analysis on diversity data in support of robust metrics and reporting directly to the Manager of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, other committees as applicable. - Working collaboratively with your leadership team to design, build, launch and maintain and robust DEI program
- Focused on enhancing initiatives by engaging, supporting, and contributing to the growth of all DEI efforts while enhancing the presence of diverse perspectives and backgrounds in every aspect of the organization
- Propose goals for our diversity, training, education and recruiting efforts, track against these goals and report on progress to communicate impact and identify areas of opportunity
- Manage and maintain process and procedure documentation, including templates, documentation tracking and program administrative changes / updates
- Align with DEIC members to drive initiatives as appropriate
- Serve as a support / liaison and knowledgeable party when navigating critical and sensitive conversations, and employee relations around DEI to the appropriate subject matter expert
- Collaborate with your team; support all levels of Leadership to build a welcoming and inclusive culture for all, including patients and families
- Support initiatives across the affiliate to apply a race equity lens to policies, recruitment, retention, strategies, employee experience, culture, etc
Qualifications Required: -
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience -
Progressive experience and demonstrated effectiveness, supporting Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and programs - Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and interface effectively with all levels of the organization
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with and engage staff
- Ability to take initiative and use sound judgment in carrying out responsibilities
- Ability to work in a fast paced, complex healthcare environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred - Employee relations experience a plus
- Project management experience in HR, emphasis on DEI
