Job description: The Department of Anesthesia is seeking a one year, temporary educational support administrative assistant.
Responsibilities • Support all scheduling and calendar updates related to education-related activities. The administrator will work with teaching assistants and other education coordinators to integrate all educational activities into the main master calendar o Work with the scheduling office as a liaison for all resident activities and education activities - Practice Based Management Consortium presentations, Quality Course consortium, mock orals, simulation based learning • Assist faculty fellowship directors and the residency program director to address all ACGME reporting functions, in a timely manner o Maintenance and update of compliance related activities for the department that are education-related. • Assist the Vice Chair of Education to build automated infrastructure and data dashboard systems that provide immediate, accurate and up to date information on all educational activities, resident matrices, including testing scores, attendance, etc. • Assist the Vice Chair of Education to continue to build additional education opportunities for trainees, internal and external to UMN o combined pathway program with MBA and MHA, Canvas curriculum-based teaching modules, specialty related journal clubs, course on health care inequality, global health outreach (India outreach), transition to Independent practice, writing courses, etc. • Facilitate oversight of wellness activities of residents and work with the program director to create easy accessibility of resident with faculty and administration. o Help to schedule Family Day for trainees and faculty • Partner with communications team to advertise educational activities through multiple media including the digital board, email, intranet, Twitter and SMS messaging

Required Qualifications: • High School Diploma/GED and four years of related office experience. Training/education may be substituted for some of the years of experience. • Proficient in computer systems like Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Zoom • Demonstrated outstanding oral and written communication skills • Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal skills • Demonstrated ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner with employees at all levels within an organization • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions with regard to workflows and deadlines • Demonstrated ability to adjust to changing environments with flexibility and professionalism • Demonstrated ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in higher education or other public organizations. • Outcome-oriented with the ability to measure results. • Demonstrated ability to adhere to University policies and procedures • Event planning experience
