The CSB initiative has the goal of driving private sector financing toward creating a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient New York City. Using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) as a framework, the CSB initiative is developing concrete investable projects in six areas -- the built environment, waste, food and health, climate resilience, sustainable mobility, and renewable energy. The initiative is supported by Goldman Sachs, PepsiCo, New York Community Trust, Con Edison, and Sims Municipal Recycling, and is guided by a steering committee with finance and subject experts from the public and private sector. The Associate Director will join the Invest NYC SDG Initiative team to advance the development of a sustainable urban economy in New York City. The selected candidate will design and manage strategy for long term success of the Initiative, setting Initiative goals and being accountable for meeting goals and tracking KPIs. The Associate Director will also work directly with the Project Director to prioritize project development, and facilitate decision making related to research, hiring, marketing and spending. The selected candidate will identify, cultivate, and expand relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This is a 12-month term position, with start date ASAP and end date in April 2022.
