Perform/carry out experiments in molecular/cell biological aspects of hormones and cell signaling
Assist senior researchers' experiments
Prepare research reagents and cell cultures
Manage the transgenic mouse colony, including breeding, identification, weaning, genotyping. Maintain up to date records on colony status.
Learn and perform mouse and molecular experiments related to relevant research projects, learn and perform relevant data analysis on Prism or Excel. Gain proficiency and be independent in experimental procedures and data analysis.
Participate in lab meetings, scientific discussion, manuscript writing and editing
Maintain equipment, track inventory and order reagents related to general lab function and research projects
Maintain lab adherence to regulations, training requirements, perform duties as necessary for regulatory compliance
All required qualifications must be documented on application materials
BS/BA in Biological/Biomedical/Chemical field, with 1-year post graduate research, or a combination of education and experience to equal 5 years
Cell culture and/or animal experience
Project management and logistics skills
Experience with mouse behavioral research including colony management, genotyping, mouse behavioral phenotyping
Proficient in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, immunohistochemistry, cloning, protein expression
Experience with Excel, Prism software
