As a Clinical Auditor II you need to know how to:
Utilizing clinical knowledge and experience, perform clinical process walkthroughs, validate information in the medical record, and review internal clinical policies and procedures, educational, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct thorough and timely audits/projects in accordance with the Internal Audit Plan, including the development of documentation to support work performed and conclusions reached, utilizing IASâ™ automated work paper system and in accordance with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by The Institute of Internal Auditors.
Maintain communication with Management throughout the audit/project with the ability to speak and write effectively; communicating clearly during closing conferences and preparation of written reports/memos including observations, issues with associated ratings and action plans developed collaboratively with management.
Conduct follow-up procedures on action plans and provides action plan updates to quarterly status reports to Leadership.
Stay abreast of organization policy and procedures, industry trends, new legislation, regulatory requirements, certification standards and areas of interest for SCL Health through external industry research.

Bachelorâ™s degree in Nursing from an accredited university/school, required
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Colorado, required
Minimum of five (5) years of RN bedside experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting, required
Proficient in spreadsheets (experience with Google docs/sheets a plus), required
Most work will be performed in an office setting; however, performing field based audits in a hospital or clinic setting will be necessary depending on assignments and may include overnight travel in some cases.
