You bring your body, mind, heart and spirit to your work as an Endoscopy Tech GI Lab.
You know how to move fast. You know how to stay organized. You know how to have fun.
Youâ™re great at what you do, but you want to be part of something even greater.
Because you believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible.
St. Vincent Healthcare is part of SCL Health, a faith-based, nonprofit healthcare organization that focuses on person-centered care. Our 286-bed level II trauma center has provided care in Montana and the surrounding area since 1898. Our team is second to none, and we work well together. St. Vincent is a faith-based, non-profit hospital, serving southeastern MT and northern WY.
We average 30 cases per day in the Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Lab. Our staff are specialists in the field to assist in ICU, OR or ED. We are a close family group who work side by side with physicians. The RNâ™s are cross trained to do prep/recovery of the patient, circulate in procedures and we also place a tech in the room with each case.
The hours are general 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., yet call runs every day so if there are late cases after the scheduled procedures are completed, then the call team will stay to finish. The call team will come back in the middle of the night if there was an emergent need as well.
Benefits are one of the ways we encourage health for you and your family. Our generous package includes medical, dental and vision coverage. But health is more than a well-working body: it encompasses body, mind and social well-being. To that end, weâ™ve launched a Healthy Living program to address your holistic health. Healthy Living includes financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation, classes, counseling and paid time off. We also offer financial wellness tools and retirement planning.
Weâ™ll laugh at each otherâ™s jokes (even the bad ones). Weâ™ll hello and high five.
Weâ™ll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value of spirituality in healing.
Weâ™re proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.
Instead of placing blame weâ™ll learn and grow together.
As an endoscopy Tech in the GI Lab you know that every day is different, which is why you need to know how to:
Adapt to quickly changing dynamic situations calmly and effectively
Utilize the patient plan of care as reported by the Endoscopy RN instructing own activies to meet the patient needs
Consult with the physician as appropriate to determine the procedure and technical requirements prior to the start of the procedure
Anticipate the needs of the physician for instruments and supplies in an organized and timely manner
Remain continuously alert to changes in the patientâ™s condition, communicates the changes to the RN and takes appropriate action
Collaborate with Endoscopy Team staff to manage instrument conflict and coordinate instrument turnover
Management of equipment and supplies
We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
High school or GED
Current BLS certification
Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a CNA, Ambulatory Care Tech or Surgical Team Assistant
Ability to complete call as needed, as well as providing for emergency staffing according to policy
Your next move
Now that you know more about being an Endoscopy Tech in the GI Lab, we hope youâ™ll join us. At St. Vincent Healthcare youâ™ll reaffirm every day how much you love this work, and why you were called to it in the first place.
