Your day.

As an Interventional Radiologist Technologist you need to know how to:

• Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.


• Order and stock supplies, clean rooms, and equipment to maintain work environment.


• Competent with all equipment related to patient care including the IR scanner, patient monitors, and all patient records management systems.


• Prepare exam room communicates with patient, obtain informed consent, and requests an accurate clinical history as necessary for the exam.


• Review patient history and determines proper selection of protocols.


• Perform a variety of IR procedures with minimal guidance.


• Start IVâ™s, perform IV contrast injections, and monitor patients receiving an injection per hospital policy.

Your experience.

• Valid ARRT (R) registration, required


• At least one (1) year of diagnostic experience, required


• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required


• Knowledge of vascular anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants, preferred
