Calvert Laboratories is looking for a full-time Study Director to join the Pharmacokinetics Department and to perform non-clinical testing of experimental drugs in animals.

The successful applicant will confidently interact with clients to develop study protocols involving the analysis of experimental drugs in animals, oversee the progress of projects, interpret study results, and prepare study report in compliance with the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs).

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and design non-clinical experimental drug studies
  • Develop cost quotations for each study using the Company’s internal costing template
  • Write and execute study protocols
    Monitor technical staff and the progress of on-going studies
  • Perform calculations using the WinNonlin computer program to measure the pharmacokinetic profile of experimental drugs in animals
  • Interpret study results and write reports for clients

 

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or M.S. in a scientific discipline with a working knowledge of HPLC and standard analytical laboratory instrumentation
  • Prior experience performing pharmacokinetic analysis of compound behavior in animals is desirable but not necessary
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent project managing skills
