Description
Under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer or other senior personnel, the Project Manager determines user demands, establishes work priorities, and plans, directs and monitors project work. Supports business planning requirements including, but not limited to, budgeting, scheduling, and workload planning. Maintains project issues and reports to management and local steering teams on progress of critical path items. Reports project status and accomplishments. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The Project Manager will gather and evaluate information concerning a user's conceptual needs, estimate and schedule project activities and associated costs.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in related field required. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: PMI certification strongly preferred. SKILLS: * The ability to lead cross functional teams to a common goal * Proficiency in but not limited to Power Point, Excel, Pivot Tables, Flowcharts, Decision trees, Data flow diagrams * Project planning, organization and scheduling for multiple projects at a time * Meeting agendas, action item tracking and minute taking follow through * Allocation and management of resources. * Recommendations for best practice depending on the topic of the project * Prepare documentation, charts, graphs, project plans, training materials and other written communications. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work independently or with limited supervision * Ability to work well with people from different discipline * Ability to work in a team environment and to contribute to the effective functioning of that team * Maturity to respond in professional / respectful manner when deadlines or other opportunities interfere with due dates EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years' project management or project leadership experience required. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Chief Operating Officer ENVIRONMENT: -Bloodborne pathogen - A General office setting with exposure to computer room environment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift and transfer objects typically not in excess of 50 lbs. Extended use of keyboard utilizing sound ergonomic principals. |
