Under the direction of the Senior Counsel, Counsel, REI and Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer, CBRE Global Investors, the Paralegal is responsible for the overarching global management of legal entity data records, information process, and governance. Maintains entity records in accordance with legal, regulatory, and operational requirements to achieve continuous, efficient, and uninterrupted business operations. Collaborates with the Global Corporate Tax, Finance/Accounting and Treasury teams, Legal and Compliance Departments, and certain business operations teams for entity records management. Provides assistance to the Compliance Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the global corporate entity maintenance, formation of legal entities, coordination of approvals under the legal entity change and approval process, drafting of corporate documents. Works with outside counsel to review and properly classify legal entity requests. Has oversight of global legal entity requests to ensure consistency to corporate standards.
Assists with the strategic management and administration of the Americas compliance program, including developing and implementing policies and procedures, monitoring the effectiveness of controls and performing compliance review functions, reviewing marketing materials, RFPs, assisting with regulatory filings including Form PFs, Form ADVs etc.
Forms domestic and foreign entities in collaboration with third party vendors including certificate of formations, LLC agreements, minutes, resolutions, W-9s, SS-4s, share transfers, organizational charts, financial KYC requests and invoices.
Manages and maintains web-based global entity management system (hCue) and electronic database of corporate records and global entity charts. Manages corporate data shared across all groups, corporate governance procedures, and ensures compliance across all end users including Corporate Secretaries, Legal, Tax, Finance and other business departments.
Liaises with outside law firms to update legal billing information in Legal Tracker.
Provide Quarterly Litigation claim overviews.
Assists with the global "Know Your Customer" and client on-boarding requests.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a corporate paralegal for a major law firm, public reporting company, investment adviser or financial services institution, and preferably with exposure to SEC filings and corporate governance matters.
Strong project management experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Paralegal Certificate from ABA Approved Program optional.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles.
