DESCRIPTION / OPPORTUNITY
The real estate market is undergoing a significant and exciting change - driven by data and technology. Digital and Technology powered products play a vital role in CBRE's mission to create unmatched value for our clients. The Senior Director, Product Management will be a guiding force in defining these products and executing on them with engineering for a line of business. S/he is a key member in the Product Management team reporting to the Vice President, Products, and will be leading a team of product managers.
The person must have a passion for developing digital and technology-powered products that blend seamlessly with customer's workflows and provide the right information at the right time. The individual must possess technical expertise, project management experience, and a strong knowledge of engineering, agile software development, and support processes. Creativity is a key requirement as many times the customer looks to CBRE to provide solutions to their problems.
This position is strongly cross-functional in nature, requiring strong working relationships with multiple teams, including Data Analytics, User Experience, Marketing, Research, Engineering, and Operations. In addition to internal constituents, you will also work with real estate brokers, customers, and partners to understand the market requirements and to support the business. The work is often quite consultative in nature, and therefore a strong problem-solving orientation is critical, and past professional services or consulting experience would be very valuable in this position.
Manage and improve the overall Product Management process and the P&L for the product portfolio
Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to product managers through their product lifecycles and career progressions
Deliver product portfolio roadmaps, and influence the balance of scope-budget-timelines, strategic planning, and demonstrate agile expertise
Deliver a complete product to the market (software, hardware, services, documentation, training)
Gather and analyze feedback from customer, real estate brokers, marketing, development, data scientists and analysts in addition to a good understanding of the real estate market
Lead our internal process to define the product strategy, roadmap and priorities
Serve as the customer representative in planning and requirements definition
Develop requirements documents and use cases for new product features
Owns the product backlog, facilitates discussions, and user story grooming
Monitor the status of development projects supporting new features
Conduct business-level verification and market testing of new features
Become an expert on competitive products in the marketplace
Provides regular updates and manages executive stakeholder communication and reporting
Be a go-to person and strategic leader for the product within the company
Perform product demonstrations and product technical presentations
Perform analysis for build/buy/partner decisions
Manage 3rd party technology product vendors and contracts

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of 12 years of related experience and/or training, including 7+ years of experience at the management level.
The individual must be highly entrepreneurial and a strategic thinker who can solve today's issues as well as build processes for growth. The individual will need to be hands-on and work closely with all levels in the company, including senior management. The person needs to have:
7+ years of product management, where you were accountable for product vision, strategy, and execution
Demonstrable successes in launching and iterating products as the strategic owner
Track record of developing your people into future product leaders
Ability to motivate team members with influence and accomplish goals
Ability to cover whatever gaps that may exist in the process to get the product shipped
Proactive in identifying problems early and prioritizing deliverables
Good combination of technical and business background
Effectively communicate with engineers and executives
Demonstrated success in defining and launching excellent products
Self-motivated, smart, and quick to learn
Interest in, and focus on, customers and passionate about creating good user experiences
