This Senior Project Manager in Patient Flow & Capacity Center will be responsible for:
Leading and overseeing multiple projects or one larger project or high-priority projects, through all phases from initiation/planning through the execution and delivery of the contract concluding with project transition and close, ensuring a successful project.
Consulting with organizational stakeholders. Identifying and using appropriate project management tools and concepts (scope management, planning, budget management, risk/ issue management, communications management). Developing and executing work plan. Setting priorities for tasks based on importance and urgency.
Creating work products and project deliverables independently. Overseeing the creation of work products by others to ensure quality.
Conducting and/or supporting complex qualitative and quantitative analysis of project data, summarizing findings, drawing appropriate conclusions, and effectively communicating results to team. Managing and directing regulatory/ reporting activities related to projects (e.g., IRB, updates/ reports to funding agencies, etc.)
Managing communication to and relationships with key project stakeholders (internal and external) and institution-wide.
Supporting research and project management for Divisional or Institutional projects across all phases of the project life-cycle. Developing tools and processes and provide ongoing support.
Assisting junior-level staff in developing realistic goals and monitor ongoing development (as appropriate).
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, Science, Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 5+ years relevant experience required. 2 yrs experience managing multiple complex projects preferred as well as a Master's degree.
The ability to effectively manage multiple demands and projects simultaneously within assigned department and to persuade and negotiate well
Advanced knowledge of PC-based software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and manual and web-based applications for collecting/ reporting data
Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement and/or process improvement activities
two years' experience managing multiple highly complex projects"
