The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is seeking a Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Membership Department. Responsibilities will include including preparing memos, briefs, updating financials, budgets, expense reports, and scheduling. This position is ideal for an organized self-starter who can multi-task and manage projects in support of the Membership team and all membership initiatives. The position represents the NAM at all levels both internally and externally. Excellent interpersonal skills a must! Join the NAM and Make an Impact in the Following Ways: - Work as a member of a dynamic membership team to support NAM meetings including meetings with the DC offices of large manufacturing members, NAM Board meeting and meetings involving NAM Senior Staff.
- Support the retention and growth goals of the Membership Department by updating and managing internal financial reporting documents. Compile updates from the territories and ensure all financial reporting is accurate and timely. Prepare memos on the department’s financial growth, key successes and other metrics as assigned.
- Draft, edit and proofread invoices, professional letters, memos, itineraries, issue updates, mailings and other general correspondence.
- Handle members' requests, following up on information, document preparation, correspondence or reports.
- Hands on involvement on a wide range of Membership special projects as requested by association SVP’s, VP’s & AVP’s.
- Work with Member & Board Relations VP to plan and execute Field Department staff meetings.
- Assist with Public Affairs/Grassroots Events, Dialogues, Awards Events, Leadership and Plant Tours. Prepare itineraries, agendas, invitations, briefing books, materials, etc. Follow-up calls as directed.
- Prepare event reports, support executive outreach and also prepare necessary background materials.
- Assist with member meetings at NAM HQ.
- Support VP with material preparation, document updating, scheduling, travel arrangements and other duties as assigned.
- Maintain accurate member and prospect information in the computer system, such as: company officers' titles, addresses, current financial information and member invoicing information. Keep internal lists up to date. Perform basic research using the Internet and other tools to gather such information. Stay alert to items of interest pertaining to companies in assigned states, and notify supervisors of such information.
