EYP is currently seeking a Job Captain/Project Architect with strong commitment to design excellence. This position will require the use of design and technical expertise in the production of project drawings.
Responsibilities:
Planning and conducting work in all phases of a project including participating in preparation of preliminary design work
Coordinating the layout, design, and drafting of project drawings
Completing design deliverables
Assisting Project Directors with project design criteria and staff hours for planning schedules
Coordinating specifications produced by other architects
Collaborating with other disciplines to produce integrated project documents
Working with consultants, professional agencies and associations to keep informed about new developments in the industry
Participating in client meetings and proposal development
The successful candidate will have strong design skills and be able to use technology and methodologies to create innovative approaches to building design; present design work using graphic, oral and other media both within the office and to clients, consultants or regulatory authorities; consistently strive to improve technical quality of our work product; prioritize and organize work; have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; and have knowledge of basic financial metrics related to project management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture plus 8+ years’ experience developing architectural designs and project drawings. RA preferred. Must have experience using Revit.
