ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR FOR FINANCIAL EDUCATION , Student Financial Services (SFS) , to assume a unique and brand-new opportunity to design, develop, and grow MIT's Financial Education program to meet the needs of our students. Will pioneer financial wellness and education throughout the MIT student community; create, coordinate, and communicate a digital learning curriculum for students; partner with Student Financial Services and Admissions leadership to develop a comprehensive plan to help educate the MIT student body about financial planning and organization and develop, organize, and present dynamic and engaging programs to carry out this plan; engage with MIT faculty, campus partners, and the MIT student body on program development and to raise awareness across campus of the importance of prudent personal financial planning; research financial education/literacy topics and resources, conduct surveys, and hold focus groups with students; and proactively look for ways to continuously improve ongoing programs and related resources.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, education, communications, or related field; and at least five years of related experience, preferably engaging with students in postsecondary education, college access, or similar field. PREFERRED : knowledge of and experience with financial education/literacy; excellent public speaking skills; and the ability to engage large groups of students and work collaboratively with faculty, staff, administrators, and community members.
