The work is normally performed in the offices located across campus. There will be activities that require trips to many University offices and offsite locations.
Through strong knowledge of the organization’s technology infrastructure and specific software applications, helps the business address changes through technology. Performs all tasks to achieve an understanding of business change needs, assessing the impact of those changes, capturing, analyzing, documenting and managing requirements, and then supporting the communication and delivery of those requirements with relevant parties.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate new functionality for release management and provide testing support.
Define Workday technology requirements.
Prepare business cases working with university partners.
Ensure business opportunities and objectives are clearly articulated.
Perform current state analysis and/or root cause analysis as required.
Plan modeling techniques to be used in requirements analysis (scope, process, rule, data, interface models, etc.).
Perform feasibility analysis as required for projects.
Analysis, Design, Execution:
Serve as Level 3 support for escalated inquiries, testing and special projects that require deep technical expertise.
Provide oversight and guidance for related configuration changes.
Create and maintain foundation data model values while keeping data aligned across the platform.
Implement strategies for gathering, reviewing and analyzing data requirements.
Perform requirements elicitation using techniques per plan.
Document requirements, establish scope and objectives and determine strategy for evaluating requirements implementation in systems to achieve business goals.
Organize requirements by release and other needed categories and sets up traceability matrix; articulate requirements relationships and dependencies.
Translate and simplify requirements for appropriate use; perform gap analysis; perform requirements analysis working with technical team.
Prioritize requirements working with university partners and create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups.
Use business process modeling, traceability and quality management techniques per methodology.
Perform requirements management and communication; apply best practices for effective communication and problem-solving.
Collaborate with project management to obtain requirements approvals per project plan; facilitate go/no go decisions.
Validate requirements throughout process per plan.
Use requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests.
Independently prioritize the completion of tasks and resolution of issues to ensure compliance to project deliverables.
Partner with business to implement Workday solutions that meet the distinctive challenges of the institution.
Take on assignments for large projects, and others as assigned.
Monitor the technical team solution to ensure requirements fulfillment and solution evaluation.
Lead and coordinate activities associated with requirements management vehicles.
Coordinate activities with other business analysts.
Participate in recommending and implementing continuous improvement plans for business analysis.
Support Workday data governance policy and processes; perform data quality and compliance audits.
Develop requirements adoption metrics and other methods of evaluating the long-term performance of the solution.
Review and monitor the effectiveness of business analysis via test results.
Provide status reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus four years of relavant experience analyzing business processes and data, or an equivalent combination of experience, certification and education.
Three or more years of Workday experience, with focus on reporting, dashboards and analytics.
Familiarity with testing techniques and software.
Experience with BIRT and Prism is a plus.
Knowledge and execution of Workday project management methodologies.
Prior experience in higher education environments is a plus.
Business acumen coupled with technical knowledge.
Experience working on technology and application development projects, including developing technical requirements.

The hiring range for this position is $71,323 - $92,789 annually.
