The Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO) at OHSU provides outstanding support and partnership to the clinical research community by providing services, guidance, and electronic information management under one umbrella office. The CRSO is jointly managed by the VP for Research Administration & Sr Staff Officer and the Associate VP for Clinical & Translational Research. The position also works closely with the Director of OHSUs CTSA, the Oregon Clinical & Translational Research Institute (OCTRI), as well as key leadership in the Clinical and Academic missions of OHSU to ensure continuous support across all mission areas. The position directly reports to the VP for Research Administration & Sr Staff Officer.
The CRSO includes the Clinical Trials Contracting office (CTO), the Clinical Research Billing Office (CRBO), the Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS), and non-IRB clinical trials regulatory functions. This office interfaces closely with other key centralized research support offices, including the OHSU Research Integrity Office (ORIO), the Office of Proposal & Award Management (OPAM), Research Administration Training & Education (RATE), and others. This office partners with OCTRI to provide seamless services and support around investigator support, compliance, program evaluations, and process improvement.
The Partners Research Program Manager, as part of the Clinical Research Services Office, provides leadership, direction, and program oversight for OHSU Partner sites research activities. This includes working collaboratively with all stakeholders to understand and develop comprehensive workflows that cover the lifecycle of clinical research administration, from front-end research start-up processes to clinical research documentation & compliance to clinical research billing.
This position will manage all aspects of the program, including but not limited to; planning, organizing, and directing daily routines of the systems, procedures and processes that ensure accurate charge capture of clinical research procedure charges; work collaboratively with clinical research administration to ensure efficient and compliant workflows are established; track and document progress on all initiatives and keep appropriate departments and leadership informed of potential issue and final resolution.
The program manager provides technical assistance, training, coaching, logistical, analytical, and other support for clinical research teams and department/unit leadership.
The program manager will work closely with the Epic for Research team in respects to Epic functionality to help troubleshoot all operational and Epic workflows and functions with OHSU partners that impact how research charges are generated and directed, and partner with the other teams.
The position must exercise independent judgement and decision making in the administration of assigned areas of responsibility, the solution of problems and communication of potential risks.
Bachelors degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field
At least 5 years experience in ambulatory care/physician practice/hospital setting with responsibility and accountability on revenue cycle management.
Must obtain Epic Resolute Certification within 1 year of hire.
Ability to work in a highly autonomous role by demonstrating self-motivation and creativity in design approach.

Proactively discover/test/analyze new EPIC application enhancements/features independently.

Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Advance experience in the use of computer hardware and software, including the Microsoft Office Suite of products with document production using WORD and spreadsheet compilation in EXCEL.
Demonstrated ability to track a large number of different tasks through various stages of development and implementation.
Ability to efficiently and effectively use Epic EHR.
