The CMO brings together clinicians and scientists throughout MSKCC to conduct large-scale translational research involving molecular characterization of patient tumor specimens in order to identify correlations between genomic features and clinical outcomes.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Project Manager interested in promoting precision oncology through genomic analysis to guide the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients.
You will:
- Work with experimental and computational biologists, clinical and translational research collaborators, and scientists in the MSKCC Center for Molecular Oncology.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with investigators at MSK and other institutions who are collaborating with the CMO on research projects utilizing Next-Generation Sequencing applications.
- Communicate information, results, issues to various levels of stakeholders, identify and implement solutions tailored to individual study needs
- Facilitate study kick-off and progress meetings
- Key stakeholder in building and implementing project and bioinformatics tools
- Create and implement efficient project workflow plans to manage large-scale collaborations, complex research studies and initiatives
- Manage sample level and clinical data to ensure proper analysis for a portfolio of genomic research projects; track the progress of projects through data generation, computational analysis, and clinical interpretation; ensure compliance with IRB and HIPAA standards; and assist with presentation, manuscript preparation.
You need:
- Bachelors degree in science with preferably 5 years in a cancer research or related function. Masters degree with an applicable research and project management experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of genomic technologies (ideally Next-Generation Sequencing), bioinformatics tools, and previous laboratory work experience are preferred.
