Position Summary:
The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine offers three dynamic MBA programs - plus PhD, specialty masters and undergraduate business degrees - that prepare business leaders for our digitally driven world. Through our programs, students acquire the exceptional ability to grow their organizations through strategic innovation, analytical decision-making, digital information technology and collaborative execution. While the Merage School is relatively young, it has quickly grown to rank consistently among the top five percent of all business programs worldwide through exceptional student recruitment, world-class faculty, a strong alumni network and close relationships with both individual business executives and global corporations. The Fully Employed MBA (FEMBA) program is a part-time program ideal for early to mid-career professionals and managers seeking to advance or redirect their careers or achieve entrepreneurial goals. The FEMBA program office includes recruitment and admissions, and program services.
Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, FEMBA Program, the Admissions Assistant is a member of the FEMBA and EMBA admissions professional staff responsible for delivering outstanding admissions support and delivery of services for the Fully Employed MBA & Executive MBA programs. Ensures that student questions, concerns, and requests are addressed in a timely manner. Ensures that the Executive Director, and Directors of Admissions and Program Services, are aware of student concerns; involve as necessary and appropriate in resolution. In collaboration with other staff, responsible for supporting delivery of offsite admissions events, residentials, orientations, and other events and co-curricular activities. Must have outstanding communication and service skills to support experienced mid to senior-level professional MBA students and faculty.

Required:
Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and service-first mindset for interacting with students, faculty, staff, and outside contacts. Ability to work creatively, collaboratively, and effectively and to promote teamwork, diversity, and inclusiveness within The Paul Merage School of Business and on campus. Ability to work as a team player in a collaborative environment, providing constructive contributions, information, and backup to enable effective and efficient delivery of service. Demonstrated skill in evaluating information, problems and situations to define the problem, identify relevant factors and concerns, recognize alternatives, formulate solutions, and initiate plan of action. Demonstrated ability to work well with co-workers, managers, and customers or students. Skill in managing time and setting priorities in an environment of frequent interruptions and distractions. Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction. Ability to use initiative and discretion in dealing with students and prospective students. Ability to work with students, faculty, and staff in a tactful and productive manner. Ability to make independent decisions and take appropriate action. Working knowledge of personal computers, such as IBM PC. Working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint or Excel, and other data base programs.
Preferred:
Demonstrated skill or related experience with providing counseling and advice on various subjects Skill in writing concise, logical, grammatically correct analytical reports, factual memos, and D correspondence. Will Train: Experience working with professional students in an advising, counseling, or similar environment. Knowledge of University Policies and Procedures, UCI academic and student support services, Academic Senate Rules and Regulations, Family Rights Privacy Act. Knowledge of Merage School policies and MBA program requirements.
Special Conditions Required:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Frequent nights, weekends and some offsite 4-7-day residentials, as required.
