The Role
As a member of the People team and the senior-most People Business Partner to the CDTO, this VP People Business Partner will have responsibility to ensure that we attract, retain and develop our talent within Digital & Technology. This will also include working in close partnership with the D&T Leadership team.
This leadership role will be a strategic partner to D&T leadership in areas such as workforce strategy, employee engagement, total rewards, diversity, equity and inclusion, organizational change, talent management, recruiting and retention. They will partner with team members globally to ensure a vibrant and effective workplace.
The VP, People Business Partner will need to work across the People team matrix and work closely with the regional Corporate Functions teams as well as the local country people partners.
The Responsibilities
- Form effective relationships with the client groups and consults with line management, providing People guidance when appropriate. Typically supports CDTO and the D&T leadership team. Will also support other Corporate Function groups as needed.
- Use data and fact-based analysis to anticipate talent needs and provide insights to the business for competitive decision making
- Attract, retain and develop members of the D&T Team and provide mentoring and career development.
- Challenge current/ traditional ways of thinking and define innovative ways of working to best serve CBRE employee needs as we continue our transformation.
- Play a key advisory role on organizational structure, workforce planning and succession planning
- Support leaders in proactively managing the talent pipeline to ensure we future proof the business to have the talent available to meet future growth and adapt to the changing environment.
- Promote 'One People Team' culture throughout the organization; act as a highly visible role model.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Escalate to Global People Corporate Function BP leader and/or Legal when needed.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate and collaborate with relevant People Centers of Expertise and People Operations to ensure People processes, policies, and services are implemented, observed, and meet the needs of the business.
- Motivate exceptional performance and teamwork across the organization.
- Lead by creating strong relationships and trust, innovative People practices, and inspiring team and leaders towards outstanding people outcomes.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university and a minimum of 10 years of related global experience. Master's degree (MA/MS) or other graduate degree a plus .
