Overview: Management Science Associates, Inc. (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology. We are currently seeking a Client Service Analyst II to become a member of our Media Post Buy Services team. A thirst for knowledge will enable the candidate to learn the ever changing business of the Media industry. This position includes managing data processes as well as interacting with diverse clients, data suppliers, and internal MSA teams. The ideal candidate will help to ensure the quality of all deliverables as well as providing project management of client requests from start to finish. Experience working with at least some low level data-sets and a desire to troubleshoot client issues are also necessary skills for this position. In order for a candidate to be successful in this position, they must be detail-oriented and be able to multi-task. This position will be a key player on a team of seasoned professionals, in a mature business that has been growing for over 30 years.
Responsibilities:
Support existing clients on our proprietary cable reporting system
Daily interaction with various client contacts, which requires a complete understanding of both the media systems, clients' data and business needs
Analyze client and internal data files
Assist in the setup of new cable clients
Analyze clients' business processes to meet their reporting and business needs
Documentation and design of client processing and reporting needs, as well as direct communication with the production and programming staff to resolve any questions or issues, and provide reporting requirements
Assist in the design and development of software applications and custom reports for cable clients which necessitates working with the client to define the needs of the system, communicating client specifications to development group, and testing new releases of software.
Provide external and internal software training
Required Skills
Requires four-year degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent experience
Minimum one year of related experience learning client marketing environments and data sources
This is the entry-level position for client service professionals with a year of experience or with a MBA or MS degree
Strong written and oral communications skills
Strong interpersonal relationship skills (must be able to work effectively with internal production and programming groups, clients, and suppliers)
Attention to detail
Minimum 1 to 2 years experience working with both mainframe and PC-based systems (experience with Windows-based applications is desirable)
Strong analytic skills
Previous cable, broadcast, or media experience a significant plus
