This position is full-time and works approximately 37.5 hours per week.
This position will have primary responsibility for software and vended applications for Washington University Dining Services and Business Operations. Service functions include lifecycle management and impact analysis of changes, monitoring and issues management, vendor management and planning, delivery of updates, and organizational consulting within the University to support planning for changes and projects. The incumbent will possess a broad range of analytical/technical skills and experience with enterprise-class services. Responsibilities will include providing training, support and data analysis for dining applications and services for Business Operations and Dining staff, as well as responsibility for Dining & Business Operations applications including CBORD Odyssey, FoodPro, Micros, GrubHub Mobile Ordering, StarRez and others.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and review critical dining services and business operations systems (CBORD, Odyssey, Micros Symphony, Student Information System (SIS), FoodPro, GrubHub), while working with IT System Administrators to ensure data accuracy. Take necessary actions when information needs corrections. Supervise the weekly dining production run, operating calendars, and weekly start-up and execute as needed. Prepares and analyzes reports to ensure accurate cost and data integrity to meet budgetary goals. Assist with recipe management and entry to ensure accurate information.
Train staff to ensure they understand the Wash U Dining systems and the importance of accurate data input and delivery. Develop user guides and instructions as needed.
Perform research, analyze technology and apply best practices to design technical solutions by utilizing systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications. Provide consulting to end users on best practices. Evaluate potential risks to the service and applications, develop mitigation plans and recommendations typically related to vendor provided application/system enhancements or new implementations.
Manage Menu and Inventory Control Systems projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Associate degree plus three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience to equal five years.
Serv-Safe Manager Certification or equivalent; completed within six months of hire.
Bachelo'rs degree plus three years of related experience or anequivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent data entry skills.
Organization and attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
Ability to communicate with chefs and dining management what information is needed and to hold them to the required timeline.
Written communication skills are important, as is the ability to work in a collaborative manner, to be a self-starter, and to take initiative in accomplishing required tasks.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
Further experience working in higher education setting in a dining or similar area is strongly preferred.
Working experience with computerized ordering, inventory and billing systems such as FoodPro, CBORD, Odyssey, GrubHub, Micros Symphony, Student Information System (SIS) and Food Service Suite (FSS) and Event Management System (EMS) or similar is strongly preferred.
Experience using POS/Mobile systems to process guest orders and payment in customer service environment.
Knowledge of nutrition concepts.
Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Experience in project management.
Experience in enterprise-scale environments.
Experience with systems analysis techniques and procedures for troubleshooting and planning system/application changes.

This position is in the Department of Dining Services. This position is for the Danforth Campus. Moving to/from dining and food service locations on several campuses is required.
The hiring range for this position is $21.18 - $26.99 per hour.
