The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Learning Experience Designer (LED) is responsible for the creation, evaluation, and support of high-quality, comprehensive, evidence-based professional development training programs for CTE faculty and staff throughout KCTCS. Programs will be designed and developed for the online environment with instructionally sound online practices comprising engaging and interactive content, including follow-up sessions for skills-based implementation assessment – awarded through digital badging. To ensure accessibility of CTE online PD, programs will be built to meet and/or exceed the required WCAG/ADA 508 accommodation standards. The LED will evaluate and report effectiveness of programs, including additional needs, which will be used for continuous improvement.
This position is located in Versailles, KY and is a term contracted/grant-funded position, fully funded until June 30, 2020 with expectations of funding for three full years.
Instructional Design and Development- Work directly with Executive Director for Professional Development to plan online Career and Technical Education (CTE) faculty development programs supporting Higher Education. Utilize industry standard software and tools to deign and develop instructionally sound online, skill-based training programs to improve successful teaching and learning strategies. Ensure programs and materials are WCAG/508 ADA Compliant.
Training – Provide training, facilitation, and/or support for engaging faculty development sessions on a variety of Higher Education and teaching and learning topics in online, hybrid, and face to face settings throughout the Commonwealth of KY. Collaborate to develop and establish digital badge requirement for successful completion of PD programs. Travel to KCTCS campuses to support in person training programs for CTE faculty and staff.
Evaluation and Reporting – Utilize survey software to create, deliver, analyze, and report effectiveness of programs. Meet goals of grant and write reports indicating outcomes, improvement recommendations, and success. Collaborate to plan, review, and evaluate programs and CTE faculty needs for expanded reach and additional opportunities. Assist with miscellaneous day to day operations for the success of the department.
Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's degree and Three (3) years of related experience or equivalent.
Preferred Requirements - Master's Degree and Five (5) years of related experience.

Experience in Higher Education professional development, Organizational/Talent Development and/or Training, Adult Learning (Career and Technical Education)
Experience with WCAG/508 ADA accommodation
Experience in multiple modes of training delivery
Technology aptitude with content development tools including/not limited to Articulate, Adobe, Microsoft Suite, Blackboard/other Learning Management System
Project Management experience
Ability to travel 10% of time
