The Data Analyst II will report to the Sr. Director of Scheduling Operations while supporting Ambulatory Clinical Operations. The Data Analyst will work with clinical leadership and business stakeholders to fulfill data reporting needs, focusing on clinic operations and scheduling. Work assignments will include deliverables related to hospital projects/initiatives, as well as ad-hoc data requests completed using the Tableau reporting toolset. The Data Analyst will work to maintain, update, and support existing reports and will act as liaison between clinic leadership and Clinical Operations Business Analytics (COBA). - Work closely with management teams in the clinics to acquire a full understanding of business processes and ensure that reports accurately reflect clinic operations
- Solicit business requirements from clinic leadership
- Build reports to monitor performance of clinical and administrative process and provide ongoing support and maintenance for these reports as needed
- Handles complex and multi-part analyses and prepares summaries of important points.
- Assists with the development, implementation and operation of systems and processes to support the activities and goals of Ambulatory Clinical Operation
- Work closely with Information Services data warehouse team to bring projects into production
- Participates in the business process redesign and improvement of key functions and tasks within the administration of Ambulatory Clinical Operations
- Develops an understanding of interdependences of processes and proposes ways to improve them through analysis
- Bachelors of Science/Arts required. 2+ years experience or Masters Degree (MPH, Biostatistics, Social Sciences, other relevant fields) with less than 2 years experience.
- Experience working in a healthcare or research setting or a technology-oriented business and/or consulting experience required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization are essential.
- Proven critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of project management tools and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience creating reports using business intelligence tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, etc. is desired.
- Understanding of database structure/design is desired.
- Knowledge of MS applications, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite and Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Windows based computers required.
- Experience soliciting business requirements.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
