The George Mason University, School of Business, invites applications for the position of Program Manager, Executive Development. Responsibilities: The primary role of this position is to manage increasingly important special projects, undertake a primary position in coordinating marketing and communications, and assist with custom executive development program management.
The Program Manager position has responsibilities in the following areas: Program Management: - Manages and coordinates the logistics for executive development contracted programs and other programs as assigned;
- Assists with the coordination of all aspects of program operations and logistics including maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders (participants, instructors, vendors, other university departments, and clients, etc.);
- Assists with program related questions, materials, catering, preparation of certificates and program evaluations (where applicable);
- Assists with the compilation and creation of participant records and communicates with participants as directed;
- Participates in end of program/project debrief;
- Supports and assists program participants;
- Provides faculty/instructor/adjunct support as directed;
- Creation and preparation of course materials (book orders, evaluations, evaluation summaries, online surveys, registration forms, CPE forms, and other materials as needed);
- Catering requests, confirmation, and follow-through;
- Room reservation and coordination with Events Management;
- Assists with online program set-up in Blackboard;
- Sets up and assists instructors and participants with virtual learning sessions.
Marketing and Communications: - Liaison for Executive Development with School of Business Marketing including collaboration to promote events to relevant communities;
- Maintains LinkedIn page, website and other social network sites for Executive Development;
- Manages special marketing projects as assigned.
Special Projects: - Manages and executes special projects and initiatives as assigned that support the strategic mission of the school;
- Works with the Executive Development team to ensure accuracy, coordination, and prioritization of projects;
- Works with the Executive Development team to ensure all events and projects are well managed, conceived, and executed.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in office management, administration or events management;
- Knowledge of all relevant software and hardware related to job responsibilities (i.e. Microsoft Office, etc.);
- Ability to organize and manage complex administrative processes;
- Ability to work with multiple constituents;
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills;
- Ability to problem solve and think quickly under changing circumstances;
- Ability to work independently and to complete multiple tasks within tight deadlines;
- Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment;
- Ability to handle matters with discretion and maintain confidentiality in a highly visible office;
- Ability to work effectively as a key member of a dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environment with frequently changing priorities;
- Ability to quickly gain proficiency in web-based database platforms and applications.
Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of University and School of Business programs, policies, and procedures;
- Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of all applications in Microsoft Office, electronic calendaring, e-mail, learning management systems and virtual platforms;
- Experience working in an academic or business environment;
- Experience in dealing with varying levels of customer demands;
- Experience in providing administrative and fiscal support for complex projects;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Exceptional customer service skills and good communication skills.
