The Program Coordinator / Market Analyst position will oversee and coordinate projects associated with industry studies, business benchmarking reports, industry-wide events, and special activities while serving to improve executive level member engagement. This job function will require adeptness in in database management, data manipulation, business intelligence (BI) and analytics that will aid in identify economic / business trends, developing the message, and educating business leaders.

 

Key ingredients to success This is a multi-faceted job function that requires resourcefulness, initiative, creative thought, the ability to work independently and more. To be successful, the candidate must: 

  • Analyze information, prepare reports and publish industry studies
  • Develop, conduct, validate, synthesize, and analyze data from business surveys
  • Create output documents utilizing Excel, PowerPoint and other software formats
  • Develop presentations and messaging associated with said reports and surveys
  • Implement and improve upon current processes and program offerings
  • Extract needs from company executives to understand common issues and create solutions
  • Interact with and educates business leaders on the association benefits
  • Think strategically and possesses the ability to implement solutions to benefit members
  • Facilitate executive level event engagements that includes coordination / communications / planning / budgeting 

 

Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate

  • 2-3 years prior professional experience as a data analyst, ideally on a rotational program with exposure to multiple disciplines
  • Prior manufacturing exposure: some direct experience in manufacturing is ideal; desire and interest to learn more about manufacturing
  • Comfortable working with company manufacturing and financial data; basic knowledge of statics and statistical significance; knowledge of financial analysis and metrics is a plus
  • Professional presence, ability to carry themselves in a professional manner
  • Technical or business degree preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and Access); experience with survey-based tools like Survey Monkey
  • Strong writing skills
  • Works independently and able to communicate needs and expectations effectively
  • Enjoys finding new solutions and improving overall company and team efficiencies
  • Ability to create and be creative
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to effectively multitask
  • Confidence in dealing with people and possessing a professional presence
  • Solid customer service orientation with respect for diversity
  • Great attention to detail
  • Willingness to work in a team environment
  • Sound judgment with the desire to work to bring results
  • Strong desire to take initiative; work independently and is a self-starter
  • High level of integrity and business acumen
