As a Food Services Cashier you need to know how to: - Operate cash register and follows cash handling policies and procedures. Include counting bank for accuracy, setting up registers for daily use, counting daily cash intake, closing out registers and running end of shift reports.
- Prepare reconciliation statements for deposit according to policy.
- Transport money to cash register point of sale.
- Restock and rotate food items as needed in food retail areas.
- Maintain clean and sanitary area of cafeteria and dining area and equipment. Ensure equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions. Take appropriate actions if out of compliance.
- Adhere to regulations created by Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines. Take responsibility to report on customer incidents (food poisoning, slip/fall and Occurrence Hotline).
