The Pediatric HIV/AIDS Cohort Study (PHACS) network conducts several longitudinal cohort studies investigating the long-term effects of HIV infection and ARV (antiretroviral) medications in infants, children, adolescents and young adults who were born with HIV or born exposed to HIV. In the new iteration of the PHACS grant (
5+ years of related work experience required; a combination of education and experience may be considered
Experience working in creative media development (i.e. graphic design, film, etc.) required
PLEASE NOTE: Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit 2 work samples where they functioned as the technical lead: 1 film product and 1 graphic design product.
Bachelor's Degree, especially in creative media (i.e., graphic design, film, etc.) strongly preferred
Master's degree in creative media or equivalent a strong plus
Prior experience with health communication strongly preferred (experience with HIV communication an added plus)
Experience with community engagement strongly preferred
Demonstrated success in adapting and creating content for different audiences preferred
Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred
Health literacy/plain language skills are a strong plus
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) preferred
Experience and comfort with graphic design and media editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro/After Effects, Apple Final Cut Pro X, or Corel Videostudio, as well as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and/or other Adobe Creative Suite programs -- or other related programs or tools, strongly preferred
Experience and comfort with building strong relationships with a range of colleagues and community members strongly preferred
Experience taking initiative to offer creative approaches and solutions strongly preferred
