Position Summary: Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a motivated Research Analyst for the Office of Research within the School of Public Health (SPH). The Research Analyst will be responsible for providing analytical, technical and professional support related to compliance protections and oversight to the School of Public Health (SPH) research community via the Office of Research (OOR) when preparing to/conducting human subjects research activity under the purview of the Rutgers' Institutional Review Board (IRB). The analyst will report to the Director of Research and support the SPH OOR and Rutgers University Biostatistics & Epidemiology Services (RUBIES). Among the key duties of this position are the following: - Works closely with, and in support of, the Office of Research and RUBIES staff.
- Maintains a current understanding and knowledge of federal and state regulations, state and local law and Rutgers IRB SOPs.
- Develops and maintains relationships with the Rutgers' Office for Research and Regulatory Affairs (ORRA).
- Acts as the primary liaison point for OOR and between ORRA/IRB staff for investigators and their designees, Research
Compliance, and research administrative staff at the university and school level. - Assists RUBIES with tracking and coordination of project requests that come through the SPH/RUBIES statistical support
application portal in Qualtrics. - Responsible for REDCap data entry and analytics, ensuring quality metrics and protocol adherence, and reporting data out
for SPH leadership.
Minimum Education and Experience: - Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Public Health, or a related field plus a minimum of two (2) years of experience in IRB administration, research or other human subjects' protection-related position (requiring direct and obvious relevance to regulatory compliance and research with human subjects).

- Demonstrated knowledge of computer programs, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and superb analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of clinical research and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to independently prioritize, organize and efficiently deal with multiple ongoing activities.
- Must be mature, self-motivated, and responsible; must be able to initiate and complete routine and non-routine tasks.
- Ability to work as an effective team member/function in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications: - Complex project management, clinical trial and honest broker management.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: - Must be able to lift or exert force up to 25 pounds.
