About the Position
The Global Engagement Program Manager is an integral part of the domestic and international program support for the EMBA program’s student experience and alumni outreach. This role will support efforts to build community with EMBA alumni and students, continuing the sense of affinity and connection to the school to this specific target audience. EMBA global engagement will partner with Kellogg Alumni Relations and Development to support initiatives at the central level, including giving to Kellogg. The Program Manager will also execute on special projects to continue adding value to the EMBA student experience and recent alumni experience.
The Program Manager will be on the front line of global engagement, driving relationships with students and alumni and preparing students to transition into committed alumni. This position will help drive Kellogg EMBA to maintain a best in class standard for engaging alumni and supporting recent alumni.
EMBA Alumni Events and Special Projects:
Partner with EMBA and Kellogg Alumni Relations teams to plan for EMBA global network alumni lifelong learning and networking.
Develop, plan and execute key EMBA alumni special events and reunions to maintain continued value to alumni including: KEMBA Weekends, Cohort Reunions, and “Added Value” COVID-19 opportunities for recent alumni.
Managing the EMBA alumni lifelong learning programming and key EMBA alumni events.
High level of collaboration with key internal stakeholders to manage and improve events and opportunities. Key partnerships include: Kellogg Registrar, Kellogg Information Systems, Kellogg Alumni Career and Professional Development, Kellogg Advancement, and Kellogg Alumni Relations.
Supervise work-study students and temporary staff as needed to support student and global engagement objectives.
Special projects and Alumni database management:
Independently develop systems/database/tracking mechanisms required for tracking student and alumni events.
Provide analytics and reporting to measure successful engagement and events
Analyze student and alumni populations to inform strategy and future events
Match alumni with prospective students and support sourcing alumni for programming and speaker opportunities working with the Admissions Outreach team.
Alumni and student connectivity and communications:
Execute and continuously improve alumni on-boarding strategy for EMBA students moving to alumni status.
Support partner school program staff on questions of Kellogg alumni benefits and resources.
Work with Kellogg Alumni Relations to support and execute on a multi-faceted communications strategy to EMBA Alumni championing engagement and admissions support.
Develop marketing plans and strategies to increase event attendance and engagement.
Drive communications and insights from faculty and alumni to support a vibrant, interactive set of channels for connecting with the EMBA community.
Champion social media network platform (eg. Linked In) as a vehicle for building global network alumni community.
Support departmental events, including graduation, student electives, etc., as need dictates.
Track and report on all alumni interactions in compliance with Kellogg’s alumni office
Providing timely advice and support to EMBA alumni on day-to-day needs including trouble-shooting email issues, assisting with records, and discussing engagement opportunities. Connect alumni to other Kellogg and Northwestern alumni resources, events and engagement opportunities.
Work with Kellogg Alumni Relations in developing strategic plan for EMBA global alumni engagement function.
Recommend changes and improvements to processes, objectives and goals based on evaluation of completed programs and events to increase engagement and participation and the ensure the most effective use of resources.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Strong event planning and program management abilities
Ability to take initiative and work independently, sometimes with complete autonomy. In addition, the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
High level of maturity and professional demeanor including tact and discretion.
Customer service-oriented approach to the job.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Smartsheet, and Qualtrics.
Ability to work with highly accomplished faculty, staff, students and alumni.
Strong project management and execution skills.
Willingness and ability to work scheduled evenings and weekends, as this is a weekend program.
Frequent domestic and international travel required.
