The Global Intermediary Management Services (GIMS) Digital Web team is responsible for the strategic planning, construction, enhancement and maintenance of the firm's digital web presence targeting the global professional investment community.
The engineer will work within the web/digital domain on projects and ongoing "business as usual" initiatives to achieve business goals. The engineer will work as part of an existing Agile scrum team focused on the delivery of functionality related to the International Intermediary section of the T Rowe Price public facing website. The engineer will report to the London Engineering Manager and be aligned to the technology delivery team and digital product owner. The engineer will be required to work closely with a variety of internal and external business partners.
The main project in the next 6 months that the engineer will work on involves integrating common Angular components (developed by a sister team in the US) into the international intermediary websites (built on Adobe Experience Manager 6.5).
Experience integrating Angular components into AEM is desirable.
Personal Attributes / Skills / Qualifications
Experience developing using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Version 6.x preferred.
Strong experience with middleware & micro service development using technologies such as Java, Spring Framework, Docker, SQL.
Experience with architectural design and development of containerized and serverless applications running in the AWS cloud, using such AWS components as EC2, ECS, Lambda, CloudFront, SNS, SQS, Aurora, DynamoDB
History of building fully test automated applications using testing tools and frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, Cypress, Selenium.
Comfortable with use of modern code management and CI/CD tools such as Git, GitLab, GitLab-CI, Jenkins, Artifactory.
Proponent of agile methodology; participates in sprint ceremonies, works with product owners to define scope of work, monitors and assists less experienced developers.
Stays current with many best-of-breed technologies
Programs proficiently in several languages and is comfortable switching between them
Shows a commitment to quality by implementing suitable software using unit/integration
Leads code reviews and actively participates in providing feedback on others' designs/code
Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) – Required
Prior experience in Adobe Marketing cloud suite (analytics, campaign management, etc) - desirable
Prior experience in the Asset Management industry (especially institutional / intermediary channels) desirable but not required.
Knowledge of financial data and metrics (asset allocation, diversification, attribution, performance calculations, etc.) preferred but not required.
