We are looking for a passionate and professional team player who is detail-oriented, enthusiastic, diligent, resourceful and wants to be part of a close and collaborative legal and compliance team in a fast-paced financial services company. Prior experience with advisory law and in- house product counsel responsibilities is highly desirable, but all Personal Capital lawyers are generalists, so a willingness to learn and provide counsel on new legal issues is essential. Responsibilities: ? Working with business stakeholders to ensure Personal Capital’s products and services are compliant with existing and emerging laws ? Negotiating technology and other related contracts on behalf of the company ? Researching and anticipating unique legal issues ? Developing policies and procedures for the legal and compliance department ? Preparing and providing company training on legal topics ? Proactively partnering with the business to provide legal advice and counsel to all functions and departments, as needed Key Requirements: ? 2-5 years of experience gained in large law firm and/or in-house ? Must have a law degree and be admitted to at least one state bar ? Strong interpersonal and presentation skills ? Strong ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization ? Be purpose-driven ? Collaborative and strong interpersonal skills ? Ability to work independently with little or no supervision ? Willingness to take ownership for a project and drive it to completion ? Team player willing to pitch in where needed ? Competitive compensation, includes base salary and eligibility to participate in either an annual bonus program or sales incentive plan, as applicable. Base salary range provided below is a reasonable estimate and final base salary may differ based on the selected candidate’s education, training, experience, licensure requirements, travel requirements and geographic location.
