The role of the Lower School Spanish Teacher is to create and curate learning experiences for students in Lower School with the goal of developing and growing their skills and interest in the Spanish language and Spanish-speaking cultures. While this role will serve K-4th grades, to align with current health and safety guidelines, the lower school Spanish teacher will be on a 3-4 week rotating schedule. This means teaching only one grade for 3-4 weeks before rotating to another grade. Teachers, along with the students, are part of a stable cohort of adults and children. Qualifications - Demonstrated fluency with Spanish language
- Bachelor’s degree
- Teaching experience with elementary-school-aged students.
- Experience with Google Suite (creating Google Calendar invites, Google Documents, uploading and downloading digital ?les)
- Solid experience with online platforms - Zoom
Primary Responsibilities - Teach Spanish to Kindergarteners to 4th Graders in person (and online as needed)
- Support colleagues with supervision duties (recess, lunch, etc)
