Art Director

We are excited to be recruiting an Art Director who is passionate about design and excited about the opportunity to work alongside photographers, illustrators, and designers to fulfill a wide array of creative needs at one of the nation's leading cancer centers.

• Conceive, design, and present projectswith an emphasis on digital, but also printfor Marketing & Communications and other departments across MSK.
• Art-direct in-house photographers, designers, and illustrators, overseeing the successful completion of projects from start to finish while balancing priorities and communicating with colleagues and clients.
• Art direct and organize in-house and external photoshoots.
• Design brand-aligned presentations and presentation templates for internal stakeholders, communicating closely with clients to ensure optimal communication design.
• Oversee production of select projects, which may include creating production schedules, acquiring estimates, reviewing print proofs, etc.
• Communicate closely with writers and editors regarding editorial content and supplemental artwork.
• Be intimately familiar with MSK brand guidelines and constantly provide quality control for any materials that represent the MSK brand.

• 7-10+ years in creative services/creative direction, primarily in digital, agency or in-house
• Excellent portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual work and innovative design
• Experience working with or overseeing projects that involve multiple creative components, including photography, illustration, graphic design, animation, etc.
• Print production process, knowledge of production techniques and file prep procedures
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Capable of handling numerous projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Mastery of Adobe Suite. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
