An opportunity has arisen within the M&G Market Intelligence team for a Senior Market Intelligence Analyst to join us on a 12 month FTC basis. The purpose of the team is to operate as a centre of intelligence on market, product and competitor trends, developing insightful and value add analysis with the objective of informing, supporting and influencing business decision making. Key stakeholders include Distribution, Product Development, Investment teams, Strategy and senior management.
Key Work Level Accountabilities:
Accountable for providing a quality service or product to customers and stakeholders, using skills/experience built through significant practical experience or training

Key Responsibilities for this role:
Support the Distribution team with product, market and competitor analysis with the aim of informing and strengthening the sales effort. Disseminate deeper insights on M&G's core markets relating to market opportunity and competitor landscape, raising market and competitor awareness. Aim to seek out opportunities on a proactive or reactive basis which can support M&G's strategic priorities.
Support the Product Development team with product, market and competitor analysis with the aim of supporting and influencing business decision making.
Act as the key contact for market intelligence queries from the Distribution, Investment, Strategy and Product Development teams.
Support the team in the provision of high quality, insightful and value add market intelligence pertinent to key stakeholders.
Work independently and proactively to analyse, understand and distil key product, market and competitor trends. To disseminate findings to key stakeholders.
Support the wider Market Intelligence team in the continuous development and enhancement of existing output
To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G's operational risk.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Several years of asset management experience in a market intelligence role.
A strong understanding of both quantitative and qualitative research techniques is essential. Specifically, knowledge and expertise in using Morningstar Direct and Broadridge databases a prerequisite. Experience of other research tools such as Bloomberg, IA ECHOweb and Refinitiv would be beneficial.
Knowledge of the asset management landscape; market, country, sector & product trends.
Intermediate/advanced Microsoft office skills, particularly Excel & PowerPoint.
Excellent analytical, numerical, written and organisational skills.
Proactive and a self-starter.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
