We are looking for a Financial/Corporate Accountant that has experience in VC/PE or financial services, to join as a key member of the team. In a company that wants to revolutionize the alternative assets industry, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside a team looking to build out highly automated accounting solutions, deliver high-impact and reliable reporting and develop policies and compliance frameworks to enable sustainable growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reconciliation of cash transactions of companies under supervision
Control of expenses and investment funding chains
Maintenance of accounting records of companies under direct supervision, aligning those with external service providers
Monitoring and tracking portfolio company transactions for accuracy and completeness
Preparation of various financial reports upon request
Support of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
Support year-end audit processes in collaboration with the team, clients, administrators, and auditors
Participation in budgeting process
Participation in various investment-related activities (from deal execution to investment reporting)
Manage routine and ad-hoc client and / or senior management specific requests
Generate investor specific notices for all capital calls and distributions
Late stage implementation and further improvement of top-tier fund accounting solutions together with IT team
Continuous improvement and automation of accounting and treasury processes in the company
YOUR PROFILE:
Relevant experience (venture capital / fund administration experience is an additional advantage)
Profound knowledge of IFRS (with German GAAP knowledge as an additional advantage)
Fluent business English (German a plus)
Basic understanding of tax laws and regulations in EU
Analytical mindset combined with self-starter personality, being able to work well independently when required
Affinity for digital solutions in financial sector, especially venture capital, fund administration, and start-ups
