We are a small animal veterinary office in the heart of east TN. Seymour is a small community with beautiful mountain views nestled at the junction of Blount, Knox and Sevier Counties. We are just 30 minutes away from Knoxville, Sevierville, Maryville and Alcoa, TN. Our clinic consists of 1 full time vet/owner and 1 part time veterinarian. We are looking to expand our family with part or full time veterinarian. We offer a laid back atmosphere but focus on a high level of care for our patients. We are flexible in scheduling and we don't have weekend or overnight shifts (just every other Saturday 9am-1pm would be expected for routine appointments). We are a growing clinic and pay an hourly wage to allow for scheduling flexibility and to prevent overworking salaried employees. We do have bonus structures and opportunities (for instance in 2019 every full time staff member went on a 5 day paid vacation to a beach home). We also have an excellent support team and frequently do group activities for team building like play badminton, have painting with a twist nights, and holiday potlucks. An ideal candidate would be a veterinarian who excels at client communication, preventative care, and soft tissue surgery. We frequently work with a local shelter as well for high volume spay neuter and emergency care. We also handle client emergencies during business hours. Familiarity with PCs is preferred because we have a DR Digital Xray, ultrasound, electronic records (AVIMARK), online pharmacy, and a Rewards APP. Euthanasias are treated with care, compassion and extended time when possible so we prefer a veterinarian who is supportive during client grief. We work with clients of various incomes and create treatment plans that are unique for each patient and owner budget. Please visit our website for common hours, location, & clinic and staff photos. During covid our business is CURBSIDE only so clients remain in their vehicles while we care for their pets. The most frequent compliment we get from our clients is that our doctors take the time to explain things in simple ways and that our staff is very knowledgeable. We believe that the more we teach our clients the better care they will take of the pets. This has become extremely important during covid as most of our communication is now digital or over the phone. We currently do not see exotics or perform orthopedic surgeries but would not be opposed to a vet who was interested in those things. Tattoos and non-natural hair color are accepted :) We are also happy to work with working mom/dad schedules. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us as our business expands. |
