Advertised Salary: $45 per hour General Description: Niagara County Community College is seeking dedicated, motivated individuals to provide leadership, engagement, and discipline expertise for our Electrical Technology Instructor position to continue to move the program forward in innovative ways. Successful candidates will demonstrate commitment to student success through teaching and learning excellence. The successful candidate for this position will have relevant professional experience and/or focused academic study necessary to provide instruction in a full range of courses including, but not limited to: Principles of Electricity; Programmable Logic Controllers; Power Systems; Digital Electronics; Industrial Automation Networks, Measurement and Instrumentation; Control Systems Design, Integration and Implementation; Electronic Troubleshooting and Diagnostics; and Robotics. The assignment will be made based on the successful applicant's experience and background. This assignment will include teaching courses at various times with the possibility of different modalities. Typical Work Activities: Maintaining subject matter currency; Developing and revising curriculum; Implementing use of modern processes and technologies; Assessment of program learning outcomes; advisement of students;Essential Functions: Ability to work with, and teach a diverse student population. Ability to speak in front of groups of people. Must be able to effectively communicate with students, co-workers, supervisors and the campus community. Must be able to develop, prepare and present information. Must able to operate computers. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position. Must be knowledgeable of alternative educational delivery platforms.
