The Foster School of Business, Hybrid MBA program has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Manager.
This position is key for the student services/affairs functions for the Hybrid MBA Program. It is the outward facing position with our students on the day-to-day activities and issues. This position will also plan the in person quarterly immersions so high attention to detail is crucial. This position will report to the Director of Hybrid Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Student Engagement and Communications - (60%): •Support Hybrid MBA student opening events; including orientation by assisting with logistics and attending day-of events. •Own all event logistics and planning for the quarterly immersions including socials, dinners, and networking receptions hosted after class. •Engage with Hybrid staff to determine time of year, agenda, and proper communication to students regarding immersions and events. •Attend events and serve as main point of contact for students. •Execute Student events and support student programming, ensuring events are properly set up and staffed. •Coordinate with Career Management team to plan and execute programming and the professional development topic areas. •Engage with and help to assist admitted and current students. •Coordinate content for canvas announcements, Slack, and any other student communication tools •Respond to student requests coming through the Hybrid MBA Inbox •Work with the Student Council Social Media Representative to execute social media campaigns (Instagram & Facebook) •Monitor Hybrid MBA website for outdated information and make updates when needed. •Budget Management include budgets for student giveaways, socials, special events and interest groups
Hybrid Student Council and Peer Mentors Program - (25%): •Mentor student leaders. Plan and provide leadership trainings throughout the year. •Main Liaison between Hybrid and the Foster Board Fellows Program: presenting on the program to interested students, aiding in application process, etc •Administer the Peer Mentorship Program; application, selection, track all event offerings, execute on logistics, and track attendance metrics. •Oversee the Hybrid Student Council on budget requests and event planning; including use of University facilities and resources, and own administrative aspects related to event execution such as room reservations and vendor payments. •Staff Liaison for Student Interest Groups (Hybrid Mental Health Group, JEDI Group, etc) or those interested in forming a group •Attend student group events when needed to provide programmatic support.
Student Onboarding - (15%): •Coordinate with Hybrid Admissions as applicants moved to enrolled students; adding newly admitted students to all proper lists across multiple systems •Manage student onboarding by contributing to the Hybrid MBA admitted student website (Canvas page) and ensuring students have completed University requirements. •Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED: •Bachelor's Degree (Business, marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred) •2-3 years’ experience in a professional or graduate school student services program or experience working in an office setting. •Demonstrated strong interpersonal communications skills •Project management and/or event coordination experience a must •Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum requirements.
DESIRED: •Experience using UW systems such as MyGrad and SDB, or other similar university systems highly preferred •Working Environmental conditions: Requires flexible work schedule as some activities are in the evenings or weekends.
