Reading Animal Clinic is looking to add a full or part time veterinarian to our growing owner-operated small animal hospital in Reading, MA. We are looking for someone interested in growing with us and interested in practicing high-quality medicine while maintaining a work-life balance. RAC offers full service medical, surgical and dental treatments toour canine and feline patients. We are a 5 doctor practice with a cohesive team who truly loves what we do. We have many tools that allow us to be progressive, including a new ultrasound machine, In house lab equipment, a LiteCure Companion therapy laser, digital X-Ray, dental X-Ray. In addition, we are currently designing our new state of the art 10,000 sq. foot building to accommodate our growing practice. Our clientele value our progressive medicine while maintaining a personal touch. We are committed to employing a team of empathetic, professional, detail oriented employees. This currently includes 34 employees 8 of whom are CVTs. Experience is preferred, but a new graduate will be considered.
Job requirements:
-Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/ medical/ surgical/ dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care
-Build relationships with clients by gathering information and listening to, and empathizing with their concerns
-Able to communicate effectively with clients, as well as support staff, on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventive health care
-Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
Skills and Basic Qualifications:
-A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with a licensure in good standing to practice in Massachusetts
-Skilled in general medicine, routine surgery and dentistry
-Exotics experience is a plus
