We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Manager and Actuary, Product Governance, HSBC Life.
Play as an advisory role to provide business or technical analysis and recommendations for the full range of insurance products with focus on life insurance, including but not limited to annuity, whole life, ILAS, universal life and medical product, in order to support regular in-force business review and day-to-day maintenance activities including incidents, complaint handling, or any product enquiries
Be a product lead in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) Sub Value Stream to work closely with other SVS members to deploy insurance product solutions so as to align with the company strategy of geographical expansion in GBA
Drive and manage projects related to product development and in-force management to support the execution and delivery of the product strategy and solutions, including post-launch product implementation, product demises, regular review on policy dividend, interest rate, premium and medical benefit schedule, and customer disclosure of Annual Fulfillment Ratio
Deliver any ad hoc assigned projects related to the in-force insurance portfolio to ensure all regulatory and contractual obligations are met and any internal governance processes are complied, including any GL from IA and AMCM
Identify and report any potential product or system issues that may impact the company, distributions and customers and provide recommendation on resolutions and lead the remediation
Facilitate the remediation and risk mitigation activities on any assigned incidents or complaint handling
Support data management or regular MI reporting on the in-force portfolio and conduct product analysis or investigation for the purpose of risk and performance management
Work closely with all key stakeholders from Group and Local Office and related teams to identify, share and promote new product ideas or best practices across HSBC Life
Solid experience in insurance industry; preferred experience in life insurance market in Hong Kong
Solid experience in product development and/or in-force management; knowledge on product pricing or actuarial science is an advantage
Strong analytical and excel skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate efficiently on the high level product strategy to specific details to various stakeholders and working peer.
Strong organization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities at any given time
Possess strong technical expertise and is able to react quickly and diligently under tight timelines
Work beyond the boundaries of usual time and effort in meeting these expectations, creatively and innovatively in often addressing uniquely individual challenges in product development and management;
Possess strong expertise and is able to learn quickly when new products or requirements arise
Be a self-motivated, pro-active self-starter with the ability and attributes to act and perform with minimal direction or instruction;
Have strong business acumen
Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
University graduate or above; professional actuarial qualifications would be an asset.
