Job Description: Lead Hyper-V System Administrator Computing and Information Services Responsible for maintenance of Hyper-V infrastructure, and systems software, assuring that all security, auditing, and restart/recovery functions are properly operating. Support the migration of existing virtualization platforms to Hyper-V. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. This position will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues in our dev, test and production environments. Evaluate vendor-supplied software and make buy/build recommendations. Resolve particularly complex or critical technical problems. Function as a project manager as required. Provide 24X7 on-call support. Education and Experience - Bachelorâ™s degree or equivalent education and experience
- 5 years of related IT experience including 3 years of Hyper-V technology experience
Job Competencies - VMware knowledge and administration are a plus
- Conceptual knowledge of all and in-depth knowledge of some of the following:operating systems, technical architectures, security, networking, database systems, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
- Problem resolution skills; e.g. diagnostic tools, reading traces, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written).
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize activities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where services are in high demand
- Demonstrates a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
