Responsible for maintenance of Hyper-V infrastructure, and systems software, assuring that all security, auditing, and restart/recovery functions are properly operating. Support the migration of existing virtualization platforms to Hyper-V. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. This position will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues in our dev, test and production environments.Â Evaluate vendor-supplied software and make buy/build recommendations. Resolve particularly complex or critical technical problems. Function as a project manager as required. Provide 24X7 on-call support.
Education and Experience
Bachelorâ™s degree or equivalent education and experience
5 years of related IT experience including 3 years of Hyper-V technology experience
VMware knowledge and administration are a plus
Conceptual knowledge of all and in-depth knowledge of some of the following:operating systems, technical architectures, security, networking, database systems, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
Problem resolution skills; e.g. diagnostic tools, reading traces, etc.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written).
Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize activities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where services are in high demand
Demonstrates a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
