Job Description: The Director has primary responsibility for leading all activities in the Office of College Admission related to database management and reporting systems that support the admission cycle. The Director is the primary developer and implementer and administrator of the CRM and its integration with other university systems. This position is responsible for the functional and technical management of the collegeâ™s CRM and information systems (Slate and Banner). This position is a member of the senior leadership team and is required to be both a subject matter and technical expert. The Director is responsible for acting as project manager for new implementations and improvements and works collaboratively and independently with Brown departments including CIS, Financial Aid, the Registrar, Athletics and the Deans to support university enrollment functions. The role will represent Brown in campus-wide meetings and regional and national conferences related to technology. The Director serves as the primary technical contact with Technolutions, the Common Application, the College Board, Questbridge and the ACT. Qualifications - Required: Bachelorâ™s degree, or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years managing daily systems operations, preferably in college admission environment.
- Five or more years developing and providing training to diverse population of users.
- Three or more years of experience with business analysis and system implementation.
- Three or more years managing and supporting database systems.
- Three or more years of experience managing staff, preferred.
- Training/experience using SQL, Excel and other databases/statistical software used for information retrieval technology.
- Three or more years of experience in project management.
- Experience translating data and business process needs between end users and technical staff.
- Knowledge of integrated student database systems.
- Demonstrated consulting and analytic skills.
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Experience analyzing business requirements and developing project plans.
- Customer service focus.
