As a Wound Care Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for day-to-day business, clerical, medical records, patient accounting, reception and patient scheduling functions of the Wound Care Clinic. - Maintains Business Statistical and Clinical Data with responsibilities
- Maintains and reviews the hospital & clinic EMR system
- Make initial contact with patients to screen, collect intake information, verify insurance and ongoing pre-authorization needs.
- Responsible for order entry including, but not limited to, laboratory, radiology (i.e. x-ray, ultrasound, MRI).
- Responsible For Efficient General and Clerical Operations and Positive Interpersonal and Phone Communications
- Collaborates with Hospital departments and physician private offices to document information to facilitate consultation, diagnostic and procedural coding
Your experience. We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require: - High School Diploma with a minimum of two (2) years formal education
- Minimum of two (2) years prior medical office or hospital clerk experience
- Minimum of two (2) years computer experience in word processing, database programs and spreadsheets
- Demonstrates and practices a working knowledge Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, HMO and other third party payor systems
- Demonstrates understanding of patient registration and medical accounting systems
- Medical accounts billing experience and transcription desirable
