Location: Hyde Park Campus Job Description: - Builds and executes project plans for all Pediatric Survivorship initiatives.
- Serves as primary point of contact between clients and Pediatric Survivorship team.
- Provides regular, detailed reports on status of individual projects and entire portfolio to Pediatric Survivorship leadership.
- Defines and maintains governance over all projects within the Pediatric Survivorship program.
- Manages contracts and sponsored research agreements.
- Provides outreach to funding agencies and foundations to develop future contracts.
- Coordinates events, researches logistics, assists with planning and preparing presentations, event outreach, and post-event write ups.
- Assists with researching funding opportunities, preparing grant proposals, and drafting and/or editing other written materials with moderate guidance.
- Assists with other administrative projects as needed and acquire higher level guidance and skills.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications Education: - Bachelorâ™s degree
- Advanced degree (e.g. MPH, MSc, Ph.D, MBA)
Experience: - A minimum of three years of experience in a variety of progressively responsible scientific research roles
- Successful experience leading at least one sizable, complex project, preferably serving multiple and/or competing constituencies
Preferred Competencies - Knowledge of project management concepts and best practices. These include at a minimum resources allocation, budget and schedule management, and reporting conventions to project leadership.
- Broad familiarity with numerous data analytic and information technology disciplines.
- Excellent supervisory and staff management skills.
- Strong and effective oral and written communication skills.
- Outstanding leadership skills, including the ability to bring differing groups together to reach decisions in a timely manner in large-scale projects.
- Ability to facilitate technical discussions, as well as the ability to synthesize, summarize and generate insight from large amounts of complex data and information.
- Ability to accurately monitor project progress, to keep track of effort and funds expended and committed, and to anticipate at an early stage any need for changes in project direction, scope, objectives, funding, or timeline.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and independently follow through with detail on general, and sometimes ambiguous, instructions for projects.
- Grant writing and grant review.
- Statistical support for grant applications.
- Knowledge of medical research (especially oncology), health outcomes research and clinical data management.
