Job Description: Westchester Community College's Office of Online Education seeks a P/T Instructional Design Assistant to work with our Instructional Designer and Associate Dean to support faculty in online course design and utilization of the college's learning management system (i.e. Blackboard) to support the creation of learning resources, activities, and assessment strategies. The incumbent works with the Instructional Designer to support faculty in adopting the use of digital learning tools, particularly with the use of the college's learning management system, Blackboard. Additional responsibilities include: - Designs and implements training programs on the use of online learning platforms and tools.
- Investigates new and research-based instructional methods to meet educational objectives of course content via hybrid and online learning modalities.
- Maintains contact with faculty members to ensure that well-presented/designed online course materials are developed in Blackboard course shells.
- Ensures the delivery of educational services for online education by effectively coordinating the administrative aspects of online tutorials.
- Provides assistance and information regarding the support objectives of the Online Education Office to faculty and students.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Additional Information: HOURLY RATE OF PAY: This is a grant funded position. $34.60 per hour. No benefits.
